SCOTT K THOMPSON
Scott began his real estate career in Estes Park in 2008, after a successful 30-year career as a corporate controller in Greeley, Colorado. One of his real estate goals is to be “your real estate consultant for life.” “I don’t want to help people buy, sell, or invest in real estate one time; I want to develop a lifelong, trusting relationship with people who, like me, hold those relationships in the highest regard.” With his accounting background, Scott has expertise in finance and cash flows, which is an added benefit for his clients. As a member of the Rotary Club of Estes Park, he practices the Rotary Four-Way Test (Is it the Truth? Is it Fair to all Concerned? Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships? Is it Beneficial to All Concerned?) in his personal and business life, where integrity is of utmost importance.
CHRIS DAVIS
Chris brings 20+ years of experience working with families and individuals to The Thompson Group. For much of his career, Chris served as a Presbyterian Pastor to congregations in St. Louis, Milwaukee, and most recently at Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies in Estes Park. He has been a real estate advisor for the past two years in Boulder County as well as in Estes Park. Whether as a pastor or realtor,
Chris has guided people through all types of transitions: graduations, weddings, births, retirement, relocation, and the loss of loved ones. Chris understands the importance of being a good listener who strives to meet the needs of others while maintaining a professional presence of clarity, perspective, and guidance.
Chris enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors of Colorado. When he is not connecting with friends in real estate, he can be found skiing with his daughter, playing golf with his son, or hiking the countless trails of Larimer County with his wife, Rita. He has a life-long affinity for horseback riding and volunteers at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy.
DAN DERMAN
Dan Derman has a varied career journey that includes Higher Ed Administration, Small Business Ownership (Property Management) and Fortune 10 Corporate Management. However – he calls Real Estate his most rewarding experience. He loves helping clients find their way through what can be an intimidating and stressful process (buying or selling their home). He’s a great listener and is very detail oriented – helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Dan and his wife Tonya recently built a home in Estes Park (Dan managed the building process). They also own a downtown loft rented via Airbnb. Dan knows this market well, understands the building process, renovation, and income property ownership. Dan and Tonya are both North Dakota natives but have lived in Colorado for 11 years.
They love to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and enjoy daily walks in beautiful Colorado. They also enjoy hanging out with their three grown children when possible. They are members of the Community Recreation Center and are thankful for its existence, especially in the winter!
SARAH METZ
Being a Realtor, and now a mother of two young girls, Sarah sees her purpose in life more clearly than ever. Her overarching goal is to help others in whatever way she can, whether it be finding that perfect home for her client or teaching her girls something new. Her reward is to see people happy after she’s helped them reach their objectives. Sarah and her husband, Lewie, are very involved in the community and believe in giving back. Both feel strongly connected to Estes Park and see what they do as more of a lifestyle, where the lines between professional and personal are blurred. “It’s the reason why I really don’t look at my real estate clients as clients; I look at them as friends from the very beginning.” She values long-term friendship and close-knit involvement. It’s why she does what she does.
