I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, the youngest of five kids. I remember Mom supporting everything I did, from pretending to be a superhero to doing homework and pursuing music. I remember fishing with Dad and watching 49ers & Giants games. There was the occasional family vacation to Disneyland that started and ended with the 8-hour drive in the family station wagon (yes, all 7 of us!). I loved trips to museums and to the coast and I eventually became an avid hiker and backpacker. And I was a total band nerd.
I earned my Bachelors in Environmental Science from the University of California. I wanted to be a positive influence in our world. I moved to Colorado for the active lifestyle and I stayed because Colorado became my life: friendships, the mix of Colorado natives and transplants, sunshine, dry snow, growing economy, mountains and plains. I could go on and on, but you probably know exactly what I’m talking about!
For 20 years since the mid 1980s, I was fully engaged in environmental regulatory affairs and project management. I worked for the EPA, federal contractors and consulting firms. Toward the end of that rewarding career I reached a point where I was ready for a change from the government sector. By this time I already acquired a couple rental properties and realized that I was strongly interested in real estate. I became a full time investor, both in real estate and the stock market. With successes and failures I learned a lot of lessons and I continue to invest and apply and share those lessons. During the recession I worked in commission-based sales, and interestingly enough, this is when I discovered my passion: People! Serving people has become my number one focus. Although I acquired my broker license in 2006, it was in 2014 when I was working in new home sales and one broker expressed how others would benefit greatly from my knowledge, experience, integrity and work ethic. That’s when I joined RE/MAX Alliance.
My family and I live in Golden, the Denver metro’s gateway to the Rocky Mountains. My primary geographic service area is the west metro, but thanks to my repeat clients and referral business, I extend out to Boulder, Ft Lupton, Brighton, Castle Rock, Central City/Black Hawk, Evergreen and Conifer. I invite you to call me! Let’s talk about your needs, review the current market trends and get to know one another to see if there’s a fit. We can meet at my Arvada office anytime, or I’m always game for a change of scenery such as a coffee shop, a park bench, your home or any place you can think of where we can talk.
My passion is people. My business is real estate.
